We are animals

Erich Vieth at Dangerous Intersection tells us “Why it matters that humans are animals”. An interesting and clear expression of the consequences of our biological and medical understanding of humanity’s place in the pageant of life. The only point I’d strongly quibble with is where he echoes Johnson’s claim that there are no absolute truths. I think most of science, and indeed of human pursuit of understanding, presupposes the existence of absolute truths. It’s probably true that we can never be sure that we have apprehended those truths perfectly, but I think it’s important to act as if they exist nevertheless.

Animals we are indeed. There are no two dimensional bodies running around, so that places us physically in the simplest bodies. In Flatland, Abbott has creatures in Pointland and in Lineland. They teach us how at every level creatures think they are the top. Abbott shows us how coniguous dimensional worlds fit together. Techie Worlds uses his vision to look at some ridiculous (in our 4D world) statements, and they turn out to be mechqnistic and logical. It pleases me to let open-minded people know about new ways of pondering about the age-old questions. With the existence of 'Techie Worlds' (available at amazon.com) believers in Christianity can hold their views utilizing sound logic, clear thinking and a mechanistic view of worlds. Applying Flatland's concept of contiguous dimensional worlds, Trinity, Resurrection, Judgment and soul are sensible and mechanically viable beliefs. 'Techie Worlds' follows that rule of science by which individual details are tested for their conformity to the overarching hypothesis. Admittedly, agnostics may choose not to follow such obvious and sensible logic, but no longer can they denigrate believers for fuzzy thinking. Moslems and pagans who read and understand the sound logic of the Flatland concept must adopt the reasonable Trinitarian view. 'Techie Worlds' will make them abandon the ways of terror an adopt the way of love. Techie Worlds is not standard preacher-prattle. Only by reading it can you open your mind to its valid way of understanding ChristianityGeorgeRic
